RECREATION MINISTRY WORKER
Recreation Ministry workers help in the Family Life Center by manning the control area and overseeing the building when it is open. They also help with birthday parties and other special reserved events.
HOURS
Mon - Fri Mostly at night. Actual hours vary depending on night and activities
Sat Whenever a scheduled event is taking place, e.g. birthday parties, lock-ins, etc.
AGE
16 or older
PAY RATE
Minimum wage (currently $7.25 per hour)

DAY CAMP WORKERS
Summer Day Camp employs a number of workers to help with the care of Day Campers, age Kindergarten through grade 6.

Camp Westbury is a Middle School camp experience for those students in the 6th through 8th grades.

THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE YOU APPLY
We are trying to share the love of Jesus Christ with campers and their families during the summer.
Our behavior is important. Staff need to refrain from the use of alcohol, tobacco, drugs, etc. while working as a Day Camp employee. This includes time away from Day Camp. Campers and their parents can and do see you in public and consider you a role model.
Our appearance is important. We will ask you to dress in a way that is modest and sets a good example for the campers. Staff need to practice good hygiene. Exact guidelines are given during training.
Our lack of communication is important. Staff cannot use cell phones or other media devices while at work. They are to be turned in to the Director each day upon arrival at work.
Our theology is important. While Westbury is willing to hire staff with different denominational backgrounds, we insist that staff never teach or interpret doctrine in a way that would conflict with basic Baptist beliefs.
Our work ethic is important. Staff are expected to be at work on time and to work hard while on the clock. When one person is lazy or goofs off, then other employees have to work harder to take up the slack.
