Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me..."
Matthew 19:14
The purpose of the Children’s Ministry of Westbury Baptist Church is to see children experience Christ’s unconditional love and acceptance through a church that values them as individuals. We do this by helping each child develop and grow in their personal relationship with the Lord, while also letting them have fun as they learn.
We partner with parents in the discipleship of their children by providing environments, curriculum and resources that center on the Gospel and teach the nature and character of God. We do this because we believe the first steps of faith begin early and pave the way for future faith experiences.

Safety & Childcare FAQs
We are committed to the safety, welfare, and protection of all children and youth participating in the activities and programs of this church. This policy is intended to protect both the children and volunteer workers and is intended to be a helpful resource in addressing the issues of child safety. Children’s programs at WBC include infants to 5th graders.
How do I sign-in my child on Sunday mornings?
When you arrive a volunteer will ask you to fill out a registration form that provides us with important information about your child. You will be directed to the classroom where you will drop your child off. If your child is kindergarten – 5th grade, they will be shown to their classroom which is upstairs. Children 3 years and younger stay downstairs.
What are your safety procedures in the early children's department?
When you sign in your children, your child will receive a security label with their name and any allergies they have will be on the tag that the child wears. Parents receive a copy of the tag for picking up. If you are needed during the service, we will text you and ask that you come back to your child’s room.
How do I know if my child should not come due to sickness?
We do not accept children who have:
- a fever within the last 24 hours
- yellow or greenish mucus from eyes or nose
- excessive runny nose
- diarrhea
- been on antibiotics less than 24 hours
- have vomited within the last 24 hours
